    Pedersen Kinleith Limited is seeking to employ a suitable experienced and qualified Maintenance Fitter. The Kinleith operation has a Debarking Plant and a Chipping plant which is double shifted, offering the successful applicant a variety of work on both the existing Chipping Plant and the Debarker.

    The successful applicant for this position will be able to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:

    • Repair and maintenance of Heavy Industrial Equipment with exposure to Timber Processing plant an advantage
    • Fabrication and welding skills
    • Computer Literacy
    • Strong Health and Safety focus
    • Reliable and have the ability to work unsupervised and as part of a small team

    The initial hours of work are Monday to Friday 10 hours per day and the appointee will be expected to work reasonable overtime on occasions.

    Pedersen’s operate a drug and alcohol-free workplace and the successful applicant will be required to undergo a pre-employment Medical including drug and alcohol test prior to any position be offered.

    Pedersen Group is seeking to employ a suitable experienced and qualified Logyard Mobile Plant Operator to join our operation at Opal Australian Paper, Maryvale.

    The successful applicant for this position will be able to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:

    • Strong Health and Safety focus
    • Previous demonstrable experience in operating a pivot Loader with bucket attachment
    • Log Forks and Excavator experience would be an advantage
    • Good practical mechanical aptitude
    • Reliable and have the ability to work unsupervised once trained
    • Motivated and show initiative.

    The hours of work for the position are 5 days a week, day shift, and the position is full time permanent role.

    The Kinleith site operates a Chipping and Debarking operation for OjiFS, the Taumata Export Log Yard for Manulife Forest Management NZ and an Export Log Debarking Plant.

    A vacancy has become available, for a Log yard Production Supervisor, reporting to the Site Manager.

    The purpose of the position is to be:

    • Accountable and responsible for the supervision of the Taumata Log yard and Debarker production KPI’s
    • Ensuring that inventory is received stored and supplied to the Debarker and is received stored and dispatched from the Taumata yard
    • Managing the direct reports, outputs and performance, and setting strategies and plans in place through the coordination of fibre, labour and mobile plant within the Taumata Log yard and Debarker
    • Ensure integrity and accurate recording and measurement of Taumata log yard stock and to monitor log quality through quality control audits.
    • Maintain and enhance the relationships with Manulife Forest Management NZ representatives.

    As the successful applicant, you will have proven ability to supervise, with a total staff of 20 operating on a seven day a week basis, whilst fostering on-going organisational culture and improvement.
