    Pedersen Kawerau Limited seeks to appoint a person to our Maintenance department at the Tasman mill.

    The role, which is an entry level one will see the successful applicant exposed to all facets of Heavy maintenance engineering including but not limited to, fabrication, preventative maintenance systems, repairs and maintenance of fixed plant, knife shop work, and assisting our fitters in all aspects of their work.

    Full training for this role will be provided and further opportunities to gain skills and qualifications will be available to the right candidate.

    The hours of work are Monday to Friday 10 hours per day and we offer a competitive wage for the position.

    Pedersen Kawerau Ltd working as a partner to Oji FS at the Tasman Mill manages the Log yard, Chip mill, Chip Piles, and ancillary services.

    A vacancy has arisen at the Company’s operation in the Log yard   for a Plant Operator operating a number of pieces of plant including Pivot Loaders and Sennebogen 830 Material Handlers.

    Applicants should be able to demonstrate previous experience and current competency in the operating of a Wheeled Excavator with log grapple or similar equipment. Previous experience in operating a wheeled loader with log forks is desirable.

    The role is a shift position, and the successful applicant must be prepared to work 4 on 4 off roster Day shift and Night shift spanning 7 days a week

    The holding of a class 2 license and W endorsement is required but applicants who do not have these endorsements but have the demonstrated skills should apply as support for you gaining your licenses may be given.
